Itinerary Overview

Day 1 – Arrival in Rome
Welcome to Italy! Meet your tour leader and enjoy a walking orientation of the Eternal City. Wander through charming piazzas, enjoy your first Italian gelato, and dine together at a traditional trattoria.

Day 2 – Ancient Rome
Step back in time with a guided visit to the Colosseum and Roman Forum, learning about Roman engineering and history. Visit the Pantheon, then relax in Piazza Navona surrounded by fountains and artists.

Day 3 – Vatican City & Baroque Rome
Tour Vatican City, exploring St. Peter’s Basilica, the Vatican Museums, and the Sistine Chapel. In the afternoon, visit the Spanish Steps and toss a coin into the Trevi Fountain.

Day 4 – Hidden Rome & Transfer to Florence
Discover Rome’s quieter side, such as the Catacombs of San Callisto or the Appian Way. Enjoy lunch near the Colosseum before boarding a high-speed train to Florence, the heart of Tuscany.

Day 5 – Florence: The Renaissance City
Begin your exploration with a guided city tour including the Duomo, Giotto’s Bell Tower, and Piazza della Signoria. Visit the Accademia Gallery to see Michelangelo’s David, and stroll across Ponte Vecchio at sunset.

Day 6 – Art, Culture & Learning in Florence
Visit the Uffizi Gallery to admire works by Botticelli and da Vinci. Later, participate in a hands-on art or leather workshop, connecting with Florence’s artisan traditions.

Day 7 – Pisa & Cinque Terre Excursion
Take a day trip to Pisa to see the iconic Leaning Tower, Cathedral, and Baptistery. Continue to Cinque Terre, exploring its colorful seaside villages by train or boat. Enjoy free time for swimming or shopping before returning to Florence for a farewell dinner.

Day 8 – Departure

How many people can I take?

We suggest keeping your numbers between 10 and 50 people. If you have more than that, we can split the group into two.

Is this tour customizable?

We work with you to create the tour you want to take your church, school or organization on. We will provide alternative suggestions if your requests don’t really work with a whole group.

What are the benefits of group tickets?

Depending on the size and type of the group, we will either recommend that all meals be included and provide an all-inclusive price or that it will be cheaper to do half board.

Will someone from Butler Travel lead the tour?

Right now, Butler Travel will just organize the tour. If you need a leader, we use our network of local tour leaders to find you a good option.

We do not include gratuities in our pricing. However, we can give you guidance on what you could tip based on the destination and culture.

All of our service fees are included in the total package price.

How do we book a tour?

Let us know where you want to go! We’ll give you a quote based on your dates. This will be subject to change until we receive a deposit to secure hotels and flights. Once a tour is deposited, we will make the arrangements. All you need is find the people to take on the tour with you.
